Here’s the story I’d LIKE to tell you:
I had one of those magical epiphany moments, complete with the heavens parting a choir singing and an angelic voice proclaiming:
“Marvelyne, it is time for you to practice what you preach, take some time to stop and smell the roses, enjoy the small moments, work on some personal projects, stop working so much… yada yada yada…”
So, being the wise person I am, I’ve slowed down, started prioritizing more and I’ve been taking some time to work on the things that are truly important…
But here’s the truth.
Near the end of our recent 9 day tour, while driving on an interstate near Saint Louis, I had a car crash. Single vehicle and I was alone in the car (and yes I was wearing my seatbelt.)
As one of the doctors I saw this week said,
“Do you know how lucky you are to be sitting here talking to me after a crash like that?!?”
Yes. I most certainly do.
So the last few weeks have been filled with doing lots of things that were NOT on my “to do” list.
Sleeping – Doctor visits – Sleeping – not working – Sleeping… you get the picture.
It’s a strange thing to think you can have such an … unpleasant?!?… experience and leave feeling blessed beyond words… but I do.
So I’ve been recovering. And that is going very well.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers and well wishes.
And I have slowed down, started prioritizing more and I’ve been taking some time to work on the things that are truly important…
I’m getting better everyday, counting my blessings, and kissing my family a lot more too.
I really hope you’ll do the same.
Peace…
Hey kiddo……Glad you are OK with the exception of some hard knocks in more than one way I am sure. Life is too short to not take in folks who love you and those you love as well as the things around us. Just know that you are in our prayers. Love to you.
